Yes!… We have a Junior Football team, and we decided to go official now that we have reconized the talent that they can bring out whilst on the field. The Eleven member Junior Football team has so far played 15 matches and have won 10 which shows that their commitment to the game
Since the show down is in a village environment, the winners normally get either Rs. 50 when they win, on many occasions, the prize can be a duck or two, a hen… etc.. hope you got the picture by now. But this has been a real motivator for these children.
In the future we hope to motivate them more by getting them some custom made jerseys and shorts, football shoes and gears etc…

The Entire family of New Life Church Ministries would like to thank Marvin for his time and efforts during the 70 days that he was in our Orphanage a Katikund, Jharkhand. Marvin was an exemplary motivator and go-getter.
I remember the day that he came to us with our German friends from Hauz Mizpa. A shy person who had no knowledge of what he was gonna do here. His lack of the local language and also englishwas a concern but all of that changed during his stay. Today as I bid adieu to Marvin during our farwell he was touched by everything we had to offer him, his eyes swelled up in tears as children performed songs and gave thanks to him for his stay and his efforts to work with them and teach them mathematics, art, craft. Our evangelist was also amused by the way he treated them. He had a special word of thanks for Marvin, for the time he spent with him in village outreach and house visits.
Indeed Marvin was a blessing and our first volunteer to choose a village than a city.
Life Challenge was founded in 2003 to provide help and support to families devastated by addiction issues.
A Two day trip back to the village was a reality check for Soni and Promilla, given many options of city life they felt out of place when visiting Katikund, the lack of electricity was the biggest hurdle that they felt that this was the most important thing needed here, Promilla thanksed god for the time that she spent in Katikund as she could come back to patna and relate the conditions to the other girls and boys, this is the first time that we took children from patna on a trip to katikund.
New Life Academy, has been on a trial run at Katikund since school year 2007-2008. This School year 2009 – 2010 the Trust Board of New Life Church Ministries has decided to officially launch the School as a Co-Education English Medium School, being the first English Medium school in Katikund Village. We have great plans to develop this school and with a shoe string investment we are hoping to build a foundation that would educate the needy children of katikund and surrounding villages.
Admissions open till April 10th 2009 and School Year begins on 17th April 2009.
